If your aim is to only get a huge traffic to your blog then it would help you out but if you are interested to get an AdSense account and to earn money from it, then don't even think of these websites because Google is very strict regarding these third-party traffic generator websites.

And if you talk about backlinks then they help you in increasing your blog's reputation and rank. More the quality backlinks, the more is good for your blog. And the number of visitors you get is what we call traffic.
